Who we are

TrendyAlpha ("we", "us") operates trendyalpha.com, a free-to-play football prediction game. For anything privacy-related, contact us at support@trendyalpha.com.

What we collect and why

Account data. When you register we store your display name, email address and a securely hashed password (we can never see the password itself). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and Google account identifier from Google, and we store those instead of a password. We use this data to run your account: your predictions, streaks, leagues and leaderboard positions.

Game data. Your score predictions, daily streak picks and league memberships are stored so the game can work. Your display name and points are visible to other players on leaderboards and in leagues you join — that's the point of the game. Your email address is never shown to other players.

Payments. Premium subscriptions (the Alpha Pass) are processed entirely by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers; we store only your Stripe customer reference and subscription status. Stripe's privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.

Emails. We send transactional emails (welcome, password resets, league invitations you request) and a weekly standings digest. Every non-essential email contains a one-click unsubscribe link. We never sell or share your email address.

Push notifications. Entirely opt-in. If you enable kick-off reminders, your browser gives us an anonymous push subscription endpoint, which we store to deliver notifications. Disable them anytime in your browser settings; dead subscriptions are automatically deleted.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies: a session cookie to keep you signed in, a short-lived security cookie during Google sign-in, and a preference flag remembering that you've seen our cookie notice. These are strictly functional.

Advertising cookies. Free accounts may be shown advertising provided by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings or via aboutads.info. Details of how Google uses data from partner sites: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Alpha Pass subscribers are never shown ads.

What we don't do

We don't sell your personal data. We don't run third-party analytics trackers. We don't send marketing on behalf of anyone else. This is a game about calling football scores, not a data harvesting operation.

Data storage and retention

Data is stored on our hosting infrastructure in Europe (Hostinger). We keep your data while your account exists. Delete your account — or exercise any of your rights of access, correction, deletion or portability under the GDPR — by emailing support@trendyalpha.com from your registered address; we act on requests within 30 days.

Children

TrendyAlpha is not directed at children under 16. Any bookmaker or betting-related offers that may appear are strictly 18+ and shown only where legal.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we'll note the new date at the top and, for significant changes, tell registered players by email.
